Jolliff wins Marion Classic title for Findlay

MARION — It was sophomore Justin Jolliff’s weekend at the Marion Harding Classic.
The Findlay High School 120-pounder took care of two more opponents on Saturday on his way to winning an individual crown for the Trojans wrestling team.
Jolliff pinned Northwestern’s Devin Rogers in the semifinals in 5:59 and dominated his finals match beating Buckeye Valley’s Chance Haynes in the championship match.
Thomas Worthington won the tournament with a 183-172½ margin over Lakewood St. Edward’s Green Team. Findlay was 11th with 102½ points and Elmwood placed 24th with 53½.
Taylor Opp led a group of four other placers for Findlay was he finished third at 170 pounds. Jimmy Staschiak (132) was fourth, Ian Silette (182) placed fifth and Kory Knox (285) ended up sixth for the Trojans.
Just one Elmwood wrestler earned a spot on the awards stand as Dominique LaWare was sixth at 195 pounds.
