UF Roughnecks steamroll West Liberty State
It was all University of Findlay at Croy Gymnasium Friday night.
The UF wrestling team won all seven contested matches and picked up three forfeits on its way to blanking West Liberty State 45-0 in a nonconference match.
The Roughnecks, the No. 7 team in the latest NCAA Division II coaches’ poll, won three matches by forfeit and were led by Jan Ulinski, who earned a 37-second pin over Dan Carpenter at 149 pounds.
Elmwood grad Nick Goebel scored a win by technical fall at 133 pounds. Joey White (141) won by major decision and Ben Sergent (125), Jordan Cowell (157), Mason True (174) and Ashton Brown (197) won by decision for the Roughnecks.
Findlay will wrap up the regular season today with a triangular match at Lake Erie College with Mercyhurst.
