Oilers are 13-3 overall and 9-3 in the GLIAC. UF has won six consecutive games and has a 14-game home win streak. It has won two consecutive road games.
UF has won 34 of its last 44 games dating back to last season and 33 of its last 41 against conference opponents dating back to a year ago.

Greg Kahlig has scored in double figures 15 times, including 34 against Ashland, 32 against Michigan Tech, 30 against Grand Valley State, 30 against Wheeling Jesuit, 28 against Lake Superior, 27 against Wayne State, 25 against Ohio Dominican, 24 against Saginaw Valley, and 21 against Lake Erie, Ferris State and Cedarville. He is shooting 48.1 percent from the field and is 93-of-114  from the free-throw line. Has hit 40 3-pointers. Has 62 rebounds and 49 assists.

He has 1,498 points in his career and is 15th all-time on the scoring list. Needs 23 to be 14th all-time. He is a preseason All-American and the Preseason Player of the Year in the GLIAC.

Kahlig tied record for most 3-pointers in a game with nine against Ashland.

Jake Heagen has scored in double figures 13 times, including 20 against Northwood, 18 against Saginaw Valley, 16 against Notre Dame College, 13 against Cedarville and 12 against Lake Erie, Grand Valley and Michigan Tech. Also grabbed 12 rebounds against Cedarville for first double-double of the year. Had second double-double of year against Northwood as he scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Tallied his third double-double against Lake Erie with 11 points and 12 rebounds. He is shooting 45.4 percent from the field and has made 19 treys. He is 41-of-51 from the free-throw line. Has 114 rebounds and 32 assists.

Dylan Kaufman has scored in double figures nine times, including career-high 29 against Notre Dame College. He scored 20 against Northern Michigan, 16 against Michigan Tech and 15 against Lake Erie and Ferris State.  Shooting 49.6 percent from the field and has made 30 treys. Has 64 rebounds and 26 assists.

Alphonso Baity has scored in double figures in nine of last 13 games, including career-high 19 against Lake Superior. Shooting 52.1 percent from the field and has made 13 3-pointers. Has 56 rebounds and 50 assists. Had career-highs in rebounds (6), assists (4), steals (3) and blocks (2) in win over Lake Superior as well.

Quaran Jones scored in double figures for the first time in win over Lake Erie as he scored 10 points. Jones is shooting 56.9 percent from the field and has grabbed 44 rebounds.

Ricardo Smith scored in double figures in first two games of his career and has scored three times in all in double figures, including 12 against Cedarville. Shooting 51 percent from the field and has made four treys. He is 19-of-30 from the free-throw line. Has 31 rebounds and 11 assists.

Austin Gardner has scored in double figures once, dropping in 14 against Marygrove. Shooting 36.6  percent from the field and has made five 3-pointers. Has 34 rebounds and 33 assists.

Team Notes

Oilers are averaging 84.6 points per game, scoring 80 or more nine times and 100 or more twice. Allowing 68.1 points per outing and have held seven opponents to under 70. Have held last three opponents to under 50.

UF shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from 3-point range. The Oilers have shot 50 percent or better nine times, including 62.5 percent against Michigan Tech.  Shot season-low 37.1 percent from the field in loss to Northwood. Oilers have made 132 3-pointers.

Opponents are shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 31 percent from beyond the arc. Opponents have made 102 3-pointers.

Oilers have dished out 18 or more assists six times, including 28 against Notre Dame College and  20 against Marygrove.

Oilers average just 11.3 turnovers per game (180) and force 15.3 turnovers per game (245).

Oilers have tallied 119 steals and have had the ball stolen 103 times.

Other Notes

Charlie Ernst is 59-18 in his career with the Oilers, including a 24-7 mark in his first season. He is 39-14 against GLIAC opponents and 6-0 in the GLIAC tournament. UF has had 12 consecutive 20-win seasons and is 320-66 during that stretch.

Oilers have won 11 South Division titles. UF is 28-6 in the GLIAC tournament and has won seven titles in nine championship appearances, including back-to-back titles on the road the last two years. Oilers are 19-0 in GLIAC tourney games at home and have most tournament titles in league history.

Oilers are 16-10 in the NCAA tournament and have made three trips to the Sweet 16 (2005, 2008, 2009) and two trips to the Elite Eight (2005 and 2009). They have advanced out of the first round eight times in 11 trips to the tournament.

UF is 551-112 at Croy Gymnasium since it opened in 1969-70, including a 161-4 mark in the last 10 years. Oilers have won 92 of their last 93 conference games at home in the regular season.

Oilers have second-best winning percentage in NCAA Division II since 2000, winning 345 games and losing only 76. UF is 1,456-862-2 since the program began in 1902-03.
