Area Tennis Capsules

The area’s four boys programs will field inexperienced teams for the most part as the prep tennis season is scheduled to begin around the state on Monday.
Fostoria and Upper Sandusky return four players from last year’s squads while Bluffton has just a pair of players returning.
Ottawa-Glandorf appears to be the strongest area squad.
The Titans have five returning players from last year’s team that went 11-6 overall and 5-4 in the Western Buckeye League.
Ottawa-Glandorf senior Alex Schroeder is the area’s top returnee. He was second individually in the WBL at No. 2 singles and is a returning district tournament qualifier for the Titans.
Ottawa-Glandorf and Bluffton will compete in the Division II sectional tournament at the University of Northwestern Ohio this season. While Fostoria and Upper Sandusky will travel to the Division II sectional tournaments at Port Clinton and Shelby respectively which are scheduled for May 15-17.
