Prep softball: Ada’s Windle smacks 2 homers, drives in 8

LEIPSIC — Ashley Windle assaulted Leipsic pitching on Tuesday by belting two home runs, a double, a single and driving in eight runs for Ada in its 16-0 nonleague win in five innings.
Windle notched a grand slam and a three-run homer for the Bulldogs (8-3).
Ashley Sumner tossed a one-hitter, striking out seven without issuing a walk to earn the victory in the circle.
Tori Wyss homered and drove in two runs, Alexis Gonzaga added three singles and an RBI, while Alexis Amburgey and Katelyn Guagenti each notched a single and an RBI for Ada.
Maddie Steffan’s single was the lone hit for Leipsic (4-9).

CRESTLINE — Jordyn Wright and Janessa Taylor both had three singles and drove in three runs as Riverdale pounded Crestline 16-2 in a North Central Conference softball game on Tuesday.
Taylor Farmer allowed two runs, none earned, on four hits with seven strikeouts and a walk to get the win. She also doubled with two singles and an RBI. Hannah Morris had two singles and two RBIs and Julia Naus chipped in a triple and single for the Falcons (5-8 overall, 1-4 NCC).

UPPER SANDUSKY — Sara Gier and Justeen Searfoss both homered as Upper Sandusky crushed Wynford 18-5 in a North Central Conference softball game.
Katie Taylor also had a pair of hits to help the Rams improve to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the NCC.
Lindsay Rausch had two hits for Wynford (1-11, 0-5).

FOSTORIA — Erica Moore singled three times and tripled, while striking out nine batters in the circle to pick up the victory for Fostoria in its 9-0 nonconference win against Fremont Ross on Tuesday.
The Redmen (2-8) built an 8-0 lead after the first three innings and allowed only four hits to the Little Giants (2-9).
Kelsey Ivy singled twice to lead Fremont Ross.

OLD FORT — Old Fort broke a 7-7 tie with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Stockaders took advantage of six North Baltimore errors to chalk up an 11-7 Midland Athletic League softball win over the Tigers.
Rachel Peters (3-1B, 2 BI), Jasmine Bretz (HR, 2-1B, 2 RBI) and Haleigh Flick (2B, 2-1B) collected three hits each in helping North Baltimore (4-5, 1-1 MAL) build a 7-2 lead.
Old Fort (7-4, 2-0 MAL) tied it with a five-run rally in the fifth inning, then went ahead to stay with its four-run surge in the sixth.

Emma Recker struck out eight and allowed eight runs on five hits in seven innings to pick up the win in the circle for the Pirates (4-3).
Erica Fitzwater recorded a pair of singles for Continental.
Jessica Pimpas homered and Hannah Sensibaugh added a single and a double for Jefferson (1-9).
