Prep Softball Roundup: Maas homers, Patrick Henry tops L-B

Deanna Maas hit a two-run home run and Patrick Henry tallied 13 hits in a 10-2 nonconference victory against Liberty-Benton on Tuesday.
Alison Imbrock improved to 11-0 in the circle, while Rachel Nye doubled, singled twice and drove in two runs and Natalie Herder had a pair of singles and three RBIs for the Patriots (16-3).
Mica Terrian tripled and singled and Shayne Rodesky singled twice for Liberty-Benton (7-10).

DELPHOS — Delphos Jefferson’s Hannah Sensabaugh broke up Sami Fruchey’s no-hitter with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning on Tuesday, but Fruchey’s teammates provided her with plenty of offensive support in Bluffton’s 10-0 Northwest Conference win over the Wildcats.
Fruchey struck out eight, walked one and faced just 19 batters in upping her record to 8-3. Abbie Parkins sparked the offense with three hits and Mackayla Wilson had two.

Molly Glick went 3 for 4 and homered and Maddie Mock was 4 for 5 with a double to lead Arcadia (12-6).
Rachel Peters was 3 for 4 with a pair of runs batted in and Cheyenne Hernandez and Makayla Rein had two hits each for North Baltimore (5-11).

Morgan Noftz homered and tripled, Taylor Arbogast added a home run, two singles and four RBIs and Taylor Kirian smacked four singles and drove in three runs for the Blue Jackets (18-4, 5-1 MAL).
Allie Rutter doubled twice, singled and drove in a run, while Mikayla Gilliland notched a double, a single and an RBI for the Mohawks (6-9, 1-4).

CAREY — Carey rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh and won it in the eighth as Dani Berardinelli-Clark drove in Hannah Draper for a 3-2 win over Seneca East in a Midland Athletic League softball game.
Raven Maloney drove in a run in the seventh for Carey (10-6, 4-3 MAL). Draper singled in the eighth and advanced to third on an error before Berardinelli-Clark’s game-winner.

Cheyenne Miller-Sweet tripled and doubled to lead Antwerp.
Ottoville (2-9) mustered six hits and committed six errors in the game.

PAULDING — Paulding outhit Ada 17-7, but needed a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat the Bulldogs 7-6 in a Northwest Conference battle.
Abby Pease doubled, singled and drove in three runs, Kristen Schilt added a double, a single and two RBIs, while Suzanne Reinhart singled four times, doubled and scored the game’s winning run for Paulding (4-10, 3-4 NWC).
Tory Wyss tallied a double and a single and Ashley Sumner had a pair of singles for Ada (10-8, 0-7).

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove scored 11 runs in the third inning and added eight in the fourth as the Bulldogs turned a 3-2 deficit into a rollicking 21-10 run-rule win over Miller City in a Putnam County League slugfest between league leaders Tuesday.
Columbus Grove pitcher Hope Schroeder allowed 10 runs on eight hits and walked six. But she still earned the win thanks to an offensive barrage headed by Katie Roose (4-1B, 3 RBI), Monica Delgado (1B, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI) and Kyrah Yinger (1B, 3B, 2 RBI).
Liz Schimmoeller (1B, 2B) drove in four runs for Miller City. Jessica Vennekotter also had two hits for the Wildcats.

Kitchen (11-2) struck out six and did not issue a walk to help the Titans improve to 14-3 overall and 6-2 in the WBL.
Michaela Black singled to record the only hit for Elida.
