LIMA — Ottawa-Glandorf scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning, including a two-run single from Tasha Cass, and the Titans advanced to the regional semifinals for the first time in school history with a 6-4 win over Fairview in a Division-III district final on Friday.
The Titans scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie the game at three.
O-G, which won its school record 20th game of the season Friday, will play the winner of today’s game between Carroll Bloom-Carroll and Johnstown-Monroe on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Bellefontaine High School.
FREMONT ST. JOSEPH 1
FREMONT — Gabby Gregg went 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and drove in two runs and Kelsey Coppus tossed a three-hitter as Hopewell-Loudon topped Midland Athletic League rival Fremont St. Joseph 3-1 on Friday in a regular-season make-up game.
Coppus allowed just one unearned run and struck out six in the complete-game win.
She also scored two runs for Hopewell-Loudon (5-21, 3-7 MAL).
Sarah Franks had two of St. Joseph’s three hits against Coppus.
Be Reardon took the loss for St. Joseph (7-11, 1-9), allowing three earned runs on seven hits and a pair of walks. She also struck out seven batters.
It was the final regular season game for both clubs.
