Volleyball Roundup: O-G’s Ellerbrock records 300th victory

VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf volleyball coach Ann Ellerbrock picked up her 300th career win on Thursday as the Titans handed Van Wert its first loss of the season, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17, in Western Buckeye League action.
In her 14th season as head coach, Ellerbrock’s O-G teams have posted a 300-87 overall record. The Titans have won five WBL titles during her tenure.
Kayla Leatherman had 27 digs and Madison Stechschulte dished out 25 assists to lead the Titans (4-2 overall, 1-0 WBL).
Olivia Hermiller spiked 14 kills and Anna Bellman had six blocks.
Van Wert fell to 4-1 overall and 0-1 in the WBL.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carrol Pauley tallied 12 kills, six digs, five points and a pair of blocks as Riverdale dispatched Pandora-Gilboa 25-22, 25-14, 25-20 in a Blanchard Valley Conference matchup.
Taylor Farmer notched nine points and two aces on 14 of 15 serving to go with seven digs, Kaye Lynn Wise recorded eight kills, Janessa Taylor added four kills, eight points and three aces and Aricka Hill was 11 of 12 serving with seven points to go along with 10 digs for the Falcons (5-3 overall, 3-2 BVC).
Brittany Hovest and Mikaylie Morman each finished with eight kills, Kayla Rieman dished out 16 assists, Shana Hovest contributed nine digs and Paige Fenstermaker had four blocks for the Rockets (2-1, 1-1 BVC).

Mya Morris slammed 14 kills to lead the unbeaten Warriors (4-0, 3-0 N10), while Sheyanne Wilhelm and Sowers each had a team-high four aces.

CAREY — Shelby Kin finished with 17 kills and Sydney Wentling had 35 assists and six blocks as Carey beat Wynford in four games, 25-16, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15 on Thursday in Northern 10 volleyball.
Kin also had seven blocks and Wentling was a perfect 109 for 109 setting for Carey (4-2, 1-2 N10).
Adrienne Hackworth finished with 16 digs and Joanna Worst added 14
Worst also was 24 for 25 serving and Sydney Kin contributed 12 kills and matched Wentling’s six blocks for the Blue Devils.
Wynford dropped to 5-2 and 2-1 in N10 play.

Lindsay Bouillon was 44 of 48 setting with 19 assists for the Blue Jackets (4-1, 1-0 SRL), and Taylor Arbogast added 12 kills on 20 of 27 spiking.

Ashley Veryser notched 14 kills and four solo blocks, Jennah Wilson handed out 34 assists,
Sarah Williams added 13 digs and Jaela Kynard tallied eight kills and six digs for the Royals (4-1 overall, 2-0 NBC).

Asia Settles added a team-high 10 digs and two points and Lexie Fretz totaled six kills, three blocks and two digs for the Redmen (1-3, 0-2 NBC),
Luchauna Smith tallied five points, three blocks and two digs and Maddie Gillig recorded five digs and three points for Fostoria, which also got three kills and two digs from Valencia Cousin and four digs apiece from Lili Velazquez and Karly Renz.

HAMLER — Heather Gibson had 25 assists, while Courtney Rosebrook slammed nine kills, to lead Patrick Henry over Miller City 25-15, 25-11, 25-9 in nonconference volleyball action.
Remi Bower had a Patriot-high nine aces, while Tara Tietje’s six digs helped Patrick Henry improve to 4-2 overall.
Abbey Schroeder was 10 of 10 serving with five aces, and had five digs, to lead Miller City (1-4), and Kylee Ricker was 26 of 27 setting with three assists.

TIFFIN — Liberty-Benton was the beneficiary of a solid performance from several players as the Eagles overwhelmed Tiffin Columbian 25-17, 25-17, 25-15 on Thursday in nonconference volleyball action.
Carrigan Gray had 28 assists on 60 of 60 setting attempts and 12 kills to pace Liberty-Benton (5-1).
Lauren Kotey led the Ealges with 14 kills. Brooke Hoehne accounted for 17 points on 21 of 21 serve attempts and four aces. She also added nine digs and six kills.
Alyson Hughes was 13 of 14 serving and contributed eight kills, while Sydni Colchagoff chipped in 11 assists.

Sydney Eickholt was 33 of 25 setting and Gabbi Young was 27 of 27 setting for the Pirates (0-6). Liv Homer was 11 of 11 serving with an ace, while Young went 10 of 10 with an ace.

Maddie Ray finished with five kills and eight solo blocks, Kiah Powell tallied seven blocks and three kills and Bailey Boyer added two aces for the Tigers (1-6).
