TOLEDO — Six different players scored for Toledo St. Francis de Sales on Tuesday as the Knights beat Findlay High School 6-1 in Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys soccer, threatening to knock the Trojans from their state ranking.
The Trojans (4-1, 1-1 TRAC) were ranked No. 9 in the first Division I Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll.
St. Francis (2-0, 2-0) already led 3-0 when Findlay’s Ryan Montgomery scored the Trojans’ only goal of the game off a corner kick rebound with 21 seconds left in the opening period.
Colin Clark got things started for St. Francis, scoring with 12:30 left in the first. Keegan Winkler made it 2-0 at the 9:47 mark and Davis Michaiski found the net off a corner kick with 2:21 to play making it 3-0.
Montgomery’s goal late in the period gave Findlay new life, but Dan Kenner snuffed out the Trojans’ bid for a comeback when he made it 4-1 with 23:42 left in the game. Justin Kenner and Jake Mitcham added goals for St. Francis to complete the scoring.
St. Francis outshot the Trojans 13-8.
Goalkeeper Aaron Elchert made two saves for the Trojans, who will try to get back onto the winning track Thursday at Perrysburg.

WAUSEON — Luke Schaub, Mitch Niese and Trevor Ellerbrock each scored and had an assist for Ottawa-Glandorf as the Titans blasted Wauseon 7-0 in nonconference soccer action on Tuesday.
The game, which was rescheduled from Aug. 19 after it was postponed due to severe weather, resumed with 17:42 left in the first half. O-G (4-0) scored all seven of its goals on Tuesday.
Brad Croy, Tory Schroeder, Nick Schroeder and Jordan Verhoff also scored goals for the Titans, which outshot Wauseon 25-2.

MILLER CITY — Riverdale and Miller City combined for just seven shots-on-goal as the teams played to a 0-0 tie in a nonconference match.
Kyle Evans and Nathaniel Hughes tallied one steal and four intercepts each, while Joe Lauck recorded two steals and three intercepts for the Falcons (2-0-1).
Riverdale’s Austin Clark made two saves and Hunter Berner stopped all five shot attempts he faced for the Wildcats (1-2-3).

LIMA — Taylor Emerick scored in the first half and Brandon Miller converted a penalty kick in the second half Tuesday as Upper Sandusky defeated Lima Bath 2-0 in a nonconference boys soccer game.
Clay Musgrave had seven saves to record his fourth shutout of the season for Upper Sandusky (5-0-1). Cam Clark recorded five saves for Lima Bath (1-3).

BLUFFTON — Will Hinegardner was a one-man wrecking crew Tuesday in Wapakoneta’s 6-0 win over Bluffton in nonconference boys soccer.
Hinegardner finished with four goals and an assist for Wapakoneta (4-0).
Sam Hinegardner and Alex Lause also scored for Wapakoneta.
Joseph Schriner had six saves in goal for Bluffton (2-2-2).

KALIDA — Austin Swift recorded a goal and an assist Tuesday as Kalida topped St. Marys Memorial 3-1 in a nonleague match.
Swift’s goal came on an assist from goalkeeper Brent Hovest, who made two saves in the contest, and Swift also assisted a goal by Grant Unverferth. Devin Kortokrax also found the net on a penalty kick for the Wildcats (3-0-1).
Nathan Wilker scored on a free kick and Keegan Liette made four saves for St. Marys (5-4).

OLD FORT — Ada picked up its first win of the season by blanking Old Fort 7-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.
The Bulldogs improved to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in the NCOSA with the win. Old Fort dropped to 0-3 and 0-5.
