You could give almost any team in the BCS Ohio State's schedule and they would have been ranked No. 1 going into the Wisconsin game. Their pathetic schedule does two things... 1. it inflates expectations as no one can truly judge how good the Buckeyes are against Eastern Michigan... 2. It creates an atmosphere of complacency on the team as they don't face any competition until they hit the Big Ten schedule - and then they face Indiana... What do you think Woodie Hayes would have done if his team was jumping up and down on the sideline at the beginning of the 4th quarter - while LOSING THE GAME! Ohio State had no business being No. 1 and they proved it against a very good football team in Wisconsin.
