Last Sunday, my family, a couple friends and I attended game 3 of the Divisional Playoffs in Cincinnati. What an awesome day. Obviously, I would have preferred the Reds win, but the day was still one of the best I've ever had. Being able to enjoy the playoffs with my family was wonderful. Having all my family and their friends over 21 so we could spend some time at the Haufbrau House and at the Palomino downtown made the day even better. So... what about them Reds?!?In April, I would have not given them a chance to play in October. This is a group of young over-achievers supported by a few very solid veterans and amazing ownership and administration. With this combination in place, the Reds will continue to improve and will become perennial contenders again. We may not have Cabrerra back but we've got the position covered... might be time to unload Johnny Gomes (even though I really like him) but we have that position covered as well. And... we have a guy that throws 105!!!! All in all - great season. Congratulations to the Reds and Reds fans everywhere! |
